Reintroducing DiDi Advance

At the beginning of COVID-19, DiDi reduced the Services Fee to 5% across Australia to help support driver earnings at a time when the platform was experiencing a decline in trips. DiDi continues to stand by its driver-partners, working relentlessly to help the driver community through the health and economic impact caused by COVID-19. Click here to learn about the COVID-19 support initiatives DiDi has implemented.

After 12 weeks of the reduced Services Fee, DiDi Advance will be re-introduced nationwide commencing 15 June 2020.

DiDi remains committed to prioritising the safety and welfare of its driver-partner community while investing in generating more trips, building the best platform and ultimately improving driver-partner earnings potential for the long term.

National Rollout Timeline

During 8 – 14 June 2020, DiDi driver-partners will receive the reduced 5% Services Fee for one last week. This week is also “Evaluation week”, meaning your level for your first week of DiDi Advance (15 – 21 June) will be determined based on your Quest performance during this week.

On Monday 8 June, DiDi Advance will be made visible in the DiDi-Driver app giving drivers the ability to view targets and track their progress.

Starting from 15 June, each Monday drivers will be notified of their DiDi Advance level based on their previous week’s Quest performance.

How does it work?

Every Monday you will receive Quests in the DiDi Driver app. Completing Quests determines what DiDi Advance level and the corresponding services fee and bonus perks you will receive the following week.

Reaching and maintaining Quest targets unlocks the program’s four levels (Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond) with each level progressively unlocking lower services fees and additional perks.

Frequently Asked Questions

DiDi Advance FAQ

I haven’t driven with DiDi for a 1 week and would like to drive again. What is my level now?

You’ll automatically receive a 1 Week Extension.

What is a 1 Week Extension?

Driver-partners who are inactive (do not accept any trip requests) for an entire week (Monday to Sunday) will automatically retain the same level in DiDi Advance they were on when they were last active.

For example:

At the start of Week 2 of DiDi Advance, Alexa received Diamond level. However, in Week 3 Alexa decided to take a break from DiDi. In Week 4, Alexa returns to driving and will automatically rejoin at Diamond Level for the week.

During the week I reached AR and CR targets and thought I qualified for a higher level

Your level for the next week will not be finalised until 11:59pm on Sunday night. Though your total number of trips can only grow throughout the week, your acceptance rate and completion rate can both fluctuate, therefore you need to be mindful of these.

If either rate falls below requirements for the current level that you’re already in, or a level that you’re aiming for, then you will have until 11:59pm on Sunday that week to get your rate back up to where you want it to be.

How is Completion Rate (CR) calculated?

What is CR?

Your Completion Rate (“CR”) is the percentage of trips you actually complete within a specified period of time.Note: DiDi Advance uses your Weekly Acceptance Rate and your Weekly Completion Rate.

How is my Weekly Completion Rate (CR) calculated?

Weekly Completion Rate (CR) = Trips Completed ÷ (Trips Accepted – Exempted Rider Cancellations).

Note: Any trips that are cancelled (by the rider or driver) or closed by Customer Support may affect your CR. Declining a trip request doesn’t affect your CR. However, your Acceptance Rate (AR) will be affected. For drivers who’ve had less than 10% of their total accepted trips cancelled by riders, their CR won’t be affected. This is to minimise the impact of rider cancellations on drivers’ CR.

I’m a new driver to DiDi. What is my level?

As a new driver, you will join DiDi Advance at Diamond, the highest level. Your service fee will be only 5% for all rides you complete over those two weeks. To stay at the same level, complete the Quest targets for Diamond Level to keep earning 95% of the fare (this excludes tolls, confirmation fee, levy and other third party charges).

I haven’t driven with DiDi for more than 2 weeks and would like to drive again. What is my level now?

You’ll automatically receive a 2 Week Extension.

What is a 2 Week Extension?

Driver-partners who are inactive (do not accept any trip requests) for a continuous two week period (Monday to Sunday) will automatically rejoin DiDi Advance on Gold Level, if during the last week they were active were on Gold level or higher.

For example:

At the start of Week 2 of DiDi Advance, Alexa received Diamond level. However, on Week 3 & 4 Alexa decided to take a break from DiDi. On Week 5, Alexa returns to driving and will automatically rejoin at Gold level.

What are tips for Quests?

What are DiDi Advance Quests?

Every Monday driver-partners on the program will receive a set of Quests to complete in the DiDi Driver app. The completion of these Quests will determine your Level on DiDi Advance for the following week.

Driver-partners can expect to receive the following three quests:

1. Weekly Total trips

The total number of trips completed in the current week from 12am Monday to 11:59pm Sunday.

2. Weekly Acceptance Rate (AR)

(Total trips accepted  ÷ total trips received) over a one week period.

Note: If you let trip requests time-out or decline incoming requests your AR will be affected. Your AR is not affected if the rider declined within a certain time-frame from making the trip request.

3. Weekly Completion Rate (CR)

Trips Completed ÷ (Trips Accepted – Exempted Rider Cancellations).

To view your Quests, head to the DiDi Driver app and navigate to the DiDi Advance – My Level page.

How do I reach a different level?

You need to complete all three Quests in a 1-week period to maintain or progress levels for the following week. Your next week’s DiDi Advance level is determined based on your current weeks Quest performance at 11:59pm every Sunday.

I had enough trips for the week. Why didn’t I go up a level?

To ensure that you are on track to reach your desired level next week, you will need to make sure that your Quest targets are met and maintained up till 11:59pm on Sunday night. Your account will automatically be updated to your new level and reflect the benefits at 12:00am on Monday.

Although you may have reached your trip goal, your Completion Rate and Acceptance Rate can both fluctuate during the week depending on the way you drive on the platform.

You will need to maintain your CR and AR until 11:59 pm Sunday, as this is the time your level is determined.

What happens if I’m close to reaching the next level at the end of the week?

Your DiDi Advance performance resets on every Sunday night at 11:59pm, when we finalise your level for the next week. There’s no carry-over – your trip total, AR, and CR will reset to zero at 12:00am Monday.

How is Acceptance Rate (AR) calculated?

What is AR?

Your Acceptance Rate (“AR”) is the percentage of trip requests you accept, whether or not you complete the trip.

Note: DiDi Advance uses your Weekly Acceptance Rate and your Weekly Completion Rate.

How is my Weekly Acceptance Rate (AR) calculated?

Weekly Acceptance Rate = (Total Trips Accepted ÷ Total Trip Requests Received over a period of one week) x 100.

Note: If you let trip requests time-out or decline incoming requests your AR will be affected. Your AR is not affected if the rider declined within a certain time-frame from making the trip request.
