Rider Fare Changes

DiDi is lowering the minimum ride fare, the base fare, the rate per minute, the rate per distance and removing the booking fee! This means all rides taken on DiDi from the 2nd of December will provide you with more consistent value based on the actual time and distance of a trip’s route.

Simply put, all fares’ standard pricing will now be at least 10% cheaper than before and in Melbourne and in Geelong (this excludes vouchers and promotions, or tolls, levies and fees paid to third parties).

Check out below to see how we’ve have revised our fare prices. Fares will continue to be charged on the actual time and distance of a trip’s route.

Now you may be wondering how this will affect DiDi’s driver-partners.

After all, lower fares, lower earnings, right? Not with DiDi.

We’ve increased driver-partner earning potential by giving them 95% of every fare (excluding tolls, levies and other charges paid to third parties). Learn more about how we’ve made this change work to the advantage of DiDi’s driver-partners.
